Doctor of Philosophy in Veterinary Medicine (By Research)

The objective of the Doctor of Philosophy in Veterinary Medicine (By Research) is to foster advanced critical thinking skills and generate original knowledge and scholarly contributions that address veterinary health issues. In addition, the program is designed to fulfill the needs of faculty members from veterinary schools, veterinary researchers within the Philippines, as well as veterinarians from other countries who aspire to pursue a PhD degree in Veterinary Medicine in the Philippines.

The PhD in Veterinary Medicine (By Research) has three (3) units of Graduate Seminar and 12 units of Dissertation
Program Requirements
Consistent with the UPLB Graduate School rules on PhD by Research program, to be admitted to Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) by Research (Veterinary Medicine) Program, the applicant must:

  1. be a holder of a Master of Science (MS) degree in the same area (Veterinary Medicine and allied fields) from a recognized institution;
  2. have a general weighted average GWA of 1.75 or better in the MS degree;
  3. have at least three (3) years of relevant experience in research certified by his/her Agency
